The story of Royal Restrooms began on a sweltering summer day in 2004 when banker David Sauers took his daughters to a local festival. Faced with an unpleasant portable restroom experience while potty training his child, he knew there had to be a better solution. Teaming up with Kappa Alpha fraternity brother and engineer Robert Glisson, the two transformed a simple idea into a game-changing innovation in the portable restroom industry.
They started small—servicing weddings, backyard oyster roasts, and corporate events—until Hurricane Katrina changed their perspective forever. “Up until then, we focused on celebrations,” Sauers recalls. “But as we drove into what looked like a war zone, we realized our purpose extended beyond just events.”
From disaster relief efforts to business remodels, Royal Restrooms has grown into a nationwide network with over 47 locations, including Royal Restrooms of Arizona. Under the leadership of franchisee John Fuller, the Arizona team is committed to providing the highest level of service, whether it’s for an elegant outdoor wedding, a large-scale corporate event, or an emergency response situation.
